🔥 The purple frog (Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis) is a rather stout-looking amphibian endemic to the Western Ghats of India. Because the frog only visibly appears above ground for a matter of days following the monsoon season, it was long overlooked by science, being only formally described in 2003.
